The two 22LR's are not checkered. The 22 magnum is checkered and marked 9422M. When one gun maker raises prices the others do the same. They don't feel any need to reduce prices because gun owners fear cheap guns. So whenever guns go up in price, they become popular. This is happening only to some types of guns. The real question is why we aren't buying bolt actions and PCCs while prices are so reasonable. Two caliber choices are available — .30-30 or .45-70.
