If you pulled the slide back with the pin out, you probably jammed it back further than it was intended to go, and it bound the barrel and the guide rod. Ruger replaced the slide stop assembly and now my SR9 appears to be back in perfect working order, but I'm going to be keeping a close eye on it ... One is for fighting the other for fun. After removing the firing pin and cleaning the channel. simply wipe the firing lightly with a cloth with a drop or two of oil on it. Oil collects dirt and that dirt will eventually gum up the firing pin. I'd pull the Security 9 apart and re clean the channel before I'd send it back to Ruger.
