The old Jeep's with carbs used a mechanical pump that wouldn't fit on a SBC. Sense it's a 95, if the stock pump in the tank is still functional then you just need a pressure reducer specific for carbs.This time fuel pressure was low 30. Based on these two statements, it sounds as though your return line is restricted in some way external to the tank. It is kinked or pinched. Bad body mounts can cause the fuel lines to be pinched. Got a lot of obstacles to overcome (mainly wiring-don't have the donor XJ bulkhead harness) and the one that I am working on right now is the fuel delivery.I have decided to head down the path of replacing the exhaust manifold myself on my 1992 4.0L YJ.
