It is normal for "nothing" to happen when an EyeSight subsystem is switched off, other than for the appropriate instrument panel indicator lamp to be illuminated.Pushing the 3 bar distance button again gets you to the "acquisition alarm." Pushing the +/- button on the the cruise control down will disable the beep. The only way I got this setting to save was to push and hold the 3 bar distance button again.
