Massive Sound Issues after 6.01 patch last night. Previous to the patch last night, Endwalker introduced choppy sound effects randomly during battles. There's been a few threads that popped up here on Reddit about them, but for me, the issues were generally annoying, but manageable. You must restart the client to get the sound back. Only way to remedy this is with a virtual sound device (which cannot disconnect unless it crashes, which doesn't really happen).
